Our Priests

Father Massimo Botta, F.S.S.P.

Parochial Vicar

Administrator of Calgary Apostolate

From the province of Rome, Italy, and a child of four, Fr. Botta found his call to the priesthood during his graduate studies in Economics. After being introduced to the Fraternity, within six months he found himself enrolled in Our Lady of Guadalupe Seminary in Denton, Nebraska. Ordained in Rome itself in the Fraternity’s parish, Santissima Trinità dei Pellegrini, in June of 2013, Fr. Botta’s subsequent assignments placed him in Omaha, Edmonton, and now Calgary where he heads the apostolate within St. Anthony’s Parish.

Father Ralph Oballo, F.S.S.P.

Parochial Vicar

Fr. Oballo, born in Saudi Arabia and hence baptized by his father, relocated to Calgary when he was two years old. He has always known Calgary as home. After having completed his Bachelor’s in Biological Sciences at the University of Calgary, he applied and was accepted into formation at the Fraternity’s seminary for English-speaking candidates, Our Lady of Guadalupe Seminary in Denton, Nebraska. He was ordained to the Sacred Priesthood on May 24, 2019 and spent his first three years as Parochial Vicar at Holy Family Parish in Vancouver. In September 2022, he was reassigned here in Calgary at St. Anthony’s Parish, and is happy to be back home.
